I'm in my 4th year of volunteer tutoring and have found it to be a very gratifying activity. Having a positive impact on a young student and their performance in school is something I greatly appreciate. I instill effective study habits and help contribute to a child's confidence when they are in class. Currently I tutor at a not-for-profit based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It's helped me perfect my ability to tutor across many disciplines.While my background is primarily in science and pharmaceuticals, I tutor in reading, writing, grammar, biology, math, science, and in test preparation.In 2012, I earned my B.S. in Biology from Villanova University. I minored in bioengineering here as well. After graduating college, I had the opportunity to do oncology clinical research at a pharmaceutical company in Cambridge. Working here for 1 1/2 years, I knew I was passionate about medicine and enrolled in the Boston University School of Medicine's graduate program. I graduated with my M.S. in Medical Sciences in May 2015 and am now aggressively applying to medical schools. Aside from tutoring, I now have a full time job at the Division of Genetics at Harvard Medical School. I also like reading, creative writing, traveling, and competitive sports.
