Qualified to tutor in many subjects, I am most rewarded when assisting students with writing. I've found there's nothing more satisfying than when a student realizes they have insights to contribute and discover the power of communicating what they know. Providing intellectual and emotional support, I can help someone realize their own ability to succeed in a subject. When I tutor, I'm a mentor and not just an educator.I was a journalism and English major at New York University, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. Here I got a Certificate in Editing from the NYU School of Continuing and Professional Studies as well. Also, I built my professional experience as a newspaper intern. I interned with an online publication, too. These experiences allowed me to work alongside editors, reporters, and photographers, who exposed me to the challenges of the fast-paced communications field. After graduating, I joined a New York City based boutique tutoring agency. Serving as Program Coordinator, I learned about school systems and the business of education. On the side, I read and spend time on my own writing ventures. I also enjoy biking, televised gymnastics, watching football on Sundays, and walking with Benji the dog.
